Oprah’s master list of preferences is making its television return.
In an effort to bolster viewership for her OWN network, Ms. Winfrey will bring back “Oprah’s Favorite Things” just in time for the holidays. The new season will come with a slight twist: For the first time, viewers will have the chance to win selected items during the show “by texting the correct key word to a short code at designated points throughout the premiere airing,” according to the press release.
In the past, viewers have walked away with a lot of free swag, including tickets to Australia and cars. Oprah’s most trusted cast of curators will make a comeback as well as BFF and O Magazine Editor-at-Large Gayle King, chef Curtis Stone, Michael Kors and Tory Burch will help dish out the goods. For the season premiere, O will be rewarding the armed forces handsomely. “Oprah and her team honor a group of military spouses from each branch of the Armed Forces who have no idea that they are about to get the surprise of their lives.”
