While the ladies of Litchfield prison are hard at work on season four of Orange is the New Black, it actually turns out they have a lot more time to serve. Netflix recently announced the hit prison comedy will be renewed for three more seasons following its summer premiers in July.
The series’ renewal guarantees a fifth, sixth, and seventh season as well as keeping the show’s creator, Jenji Kohan, as the Netflix original’s show runner. Danielle Brooks share her excitement for the show’s renewal on Twitter.
The fourth season will not debut until June 17, but as fans and inmates gear up for another year at Lynchfield, they can only hope the next seasons will continued to be packed with drama and hilarious moments.
