Justin Bieber’s Comedy Central Roast special was taped this past weekend. And while you may get a hearty dose of jokes when it airs, none will be at the expense of the late Fast & Furious star, Paul Walker. After a few quips regarding the late actor were relayed, Comedy Central released in a statement that they have extinguished any mention of him in their telecast.
“Roasts often push the limits of good taste and we give the participants full rein to try things knowing we have the edit to shape the show. Sometimes the line is discovered by crossing it. The Paul Walker references will not be in the telecast,” the network stated.
The Hollywood Reporter recently released some of the jokes that were said in relation to Walker. Comedian Jeff Ross, said: “‘Move bitch, get out of the way!’ is what Paul Walker should’ve told that tree. Too soon? Too fast? Too furious?” Pete Davidson also said, “Justin got arrested for drag racing … unfortunately, it wasn’t with Paul Walker.”
These jokes, of course, did not go over without any hitches. Reports have surfaced that Walker’s friend and co-star, Ludacris was visibly offended by the jokes, and that he allegedly motioned for the cameras to cut at one point.
