The Commander-in-Chief stopped by the Late Show on Monday (May 4), serving as yet another prominent guest on Letterman’s schedule till his last hoorah on May 20.
While mulling over their retirement plans, the Prez and TV host threw out ideas like playing dominoes, teaching law at Columbia, and even sitting at a local Starbucks and swapping stories.
Jokes aside, Obama said he would be taking a month off after his second term is up and saluted Letterman, saying, “We’ve grown up with you, this country. And after coming home from work, knowing you’ve been there to give us a little bit of joy, a little bit of laughter. It has meant so much. You’ve given us a great gift, and we love you.”
