As of press time, Spike has raised almost $399,180 in 8 days through 1,906 backers. Will you wake up and support? Or, will you just chill?
Right now, there’s nowhere you can go without hearing about Spike Lee’s “newest, hottest joint,’ which promises lots of “blood and naked Black folk.” It’s billed as an experience that is unlike his previous work, but he’s been reluctant to speak on the details.
Until now.
A tweet from Brooklyn’s favorite filmmaker reveals that he will be using Raphael Saadiq to score his music soundtrack instead of longtime compadre Terence Blanchard. Never one to sleep on the job, the music maker is spending his time over at Fox Searchlight on Mary J. Blige’s musical Black Nativity, which is out this fall.
Other than that and his thoughts on a possible School Daze 2, no one knows what this new Spike Lee joint is about. Care to take any guesses? Share ’em with us below.
