
At the tender age of 15, Rosario Dawson was discovered sitting on her stoop when world famous photographer Larry Clark randomly approached her and offered her the starring role of Ruby in Kids. That breakout role in Harmony Korine’s controversial 1995 film would inevitably catapult Dawson into Hollywood.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the slightly pornographic film, the Brooklyn Academy of Music announced the summer reunion of Dawson, Larry Clark, Harmony Korine, Chloë Sevigny and Leo Fitzpatrick. Instant gratification – no pun intended.

Kids is centered on a day in the life of a group of sexually active teenagers in New York City and their unrestrained behavior towards sex and substance abuse (alcohol and other drugs) during the height of the AIDS epidemic in the mid-1990s.
