Serena Williams is a woman of many talents, and although her prowess on the tennis court remains on a legendary status, her business acumen in terms of shaping her brand is unparalleled as well.
Deadline shares that the tennis champ will step into the creative boardroom to executive produce a movie for Lifetime. The reel will be temporarily named “Sister Dance,” which will be based off of an annual competition that she heralds with her sister Venus, ESPNW reports.
There’s no word on when the television movie will debut, but Williams inked the development deal with Lifetime for a 2016-2017 time span.
Williams was also scheduled to make an appearance at the Madrid Open, but canceled due to a “fever that has left her feeling ‘less than 100 percent,'” Tennis Magazine reports.
