With the critical and commercial success of Straight Outta Compton, the verdict is up in the air as to whether All Eyez On Me, the upcoming Tupac Shakur biopic, can live up to certain expectations for critics and fans alike. However, if The Game’s word is to be taken into consideration, fans of Pac can breathe a sigh of relief in knowing that the movie might be the real deal.
In a video posted on Instagram yesterday (June 14), the rapper expressed his overarching enthusiasm at the biopic’s cast and crew. “Tupac movie is the real deal, sh*t make that Biggie movie look like a cartoon..,” he said. While The Game claims that he meant no disrespect in the video, it serves as a painful reminder of how Notorious, the biopic that chronicles the life of late rapper Notorious B.I.G, fell short of expectations for some die-hard Biggie fans and film critics alike. All Eyez On Me is set to hit theaters on Nov. 6.
