In addition to gaining a new member of the Harris family this year, T.I. has also gained another new role to take us into the new year. The Breaks, a TV series extension of the original VH1 film following three friends chasing their NYC hip-hop dreams, has officially picked up the rapper for a recurring role.
T.I. will pull his suit and tie out to play Paul Anders, a powerful lawyer who has to defend Barry Fouray (Wood Harris) after a scandal gets out of control. Before Tip’s announcement, Teyana Taylor was the latest star tapped to join a cast that includes Wood Harris, Mack Wilds, Antoine Harris, Afton Williamson and more.
The scripted series is set to air in January 2017, exactly one year after the TV film first premiered.
