Katt Williams had some stinging words for Tiffany Haddish last weekend. After it was announced Williams won an Emmy for his portrayal as the alligator owning Uncle Willy on FX’s Atlanta, he stopped by Atlanta’s v103 to question Tiffany Haddish’s weight in LOLs.
Haddish, who stars alongside Kevin Hart in the Malcolm D. Lee-directed comedy Night School got wind of Williams’ comments and took to social media to respond. “I look forward to seeing you on Monday Katt when we pick up our Emmys. I just want to shower you with REAL Love cause you need it, and I love you,” she tweeted.
Well, it appears as Williams’ same energy was not kept when backstage at the 2018 Emmys. The 47-year-old comic was seen bowing in front of Haddish, who wore a custom-made colorful gown honoring her Eritrean roots.
While speaking to reporters, Haddish explained how she decided upon her gown for the evening and it’s importance.
“I was talking to my stylist Lara Roach and I said I wanted to wear something that represented my father’s country but still had an American feel to it but was still stylish and fashionable but still pays homage to my heritage,” Haddish said backstage.
Glad to see everything is cool and copacetic.
