At the moment, funnyman Tracy Morgan is seriously on the mend.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the 30 Rock star underwent a kidney transplant around the time of December 10th. And while Morgan is doing well— he was seen at a Knicks game last Friday— he is still slated to miss at least two or possibly three episodes of 30 Rock when it returns in March. A rep for the star of HBO’s Black and Blue standup special told EW, “Tracy is doing well and taking some much needed time to recover after the surgery. He is looking forward to going back to work after the holidays.” Morgan was diagnosed with diabetes in 1996. It is reported that on 30 Rock Morgan alter ego Tracy Jordan’s absence will be blamed on a meltdown. Get well soon T Mo.—Ronke Idowu Reeves
