While everyone raves about “previews of previews,” Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game is fulfilling expectations with their latest (and final) trailer clip.
Summit Entertainment released a new poster on Monday, which you can see below, and aimed to pair it with the trailer that just impacted the web this morning. Despite the title of the project, the 1985 sci-fi adaptation promises movie fans that “this is not a game.”
The plot finds the inhabitants of Earth attacked and nearly destroyed by an alien race. In preparation for the next wave of attack, Ender Wiggin (played by Asa Butterfield), a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is recruited to train in Battle School, then Commander School aboard a massive space station to become one of Earth’s next great military leaders.
Harrison Ford stars as the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff, while Ben Kingsley appears as legendary International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham. Hailee Steinfeld, Viola Davis and Abigail Breslin co-star in the project, which is directed by Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine).
Watch the trailer below:
The new trailer shows Wiggin in command of an entire starship fleet, and with Ford promisin the young boy success and legendary infamy, Ender’s Game looks like it will be a film to remember when it drops on November 1.
