With Halo 4 soon to hit stores, Machinima teases this new clip that has hit the web.
Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn is a new web series from executive producers Josh Feldman and Lydia Antonini, which stars Daniel Cudmore (X-Men) in the central role. Premiering this Friday, October 5, Forward Unto Dawn is the first live-action content ever for the blockbuster first-person-shooter franchise, and will run on Machinima Prime weekly. A high quality series with action-packed adventures featuring Master Chief, the episodes will run for 15 minutes and is a must-see for any hardcore gamer.
Director Stewart Hendler (Sorority Row) focuses on the diverse backgrounds, home-worlds, and upbringings of all the cadets of Hastati Squad, and the trailer, which you can see for yourself below, gives us a glimpse into why the cadets have all signed up with the UNSC.
The plot finds audiences going back to the beginning of the human and Covenant war alongside cadet Thomas Lasky, a gifted soldier who struggles to define what it means to be a hero. As Lasky comes to terms with his potential as a military leader, the terrifying alien alliance known as the Covenant arrives and turns his world upside down. Halo fans who experience Lasky’s thrilling origin story in Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn will be rewarded with special insights into the story of Halo 4 (the video game) and the Halo Infinity Multiplayer experience.
In addition to making its online debut one month before Halo 4 hits stores on November 6th, the live-action, video game based web series will assault Blu-ray players this December. 343 Industries and Anderson Merchandisers will be releasing Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn on December 4 in a bid to bring a brand-new Halo story to life on a scale never before seen in the Halo universe.
