Actor Michael B. Jordan is ripped and ready. The New Jersey native stars as Adonis Johnson, the son of Apollo Creed from the franchise hit Rocky, in MGM’s latest motion picture Creed.
His character of Adonis learns about his father through enemy-turned-friend Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), and gets mentored by the fictional boxing legend.

The trailer showcases familiar faces, listing Jordan’s former The Wire co-star Wood Harris, and reconnects his partnership with Fruitvale Station director, Ryan Coogler, who handles the vision of this forthcoming reel. The cast also includes film’s leading ladies from legend Phylicia Rashad (Mary Anne Creed) to the budding Tessa Thompson (Bianca).
Creed takes its bout at the box office on Nov. 25, but check out Jordan’s portrayal in the first trailer.
