The award-winning production team of Noube Productions will bring their talents out to the 2013 Hollywood Black Film Festival this weekend! Be sure to take your loved one’s to see this acclaimed documentary.
Step Up: A Documentary On Fatherhood recently was awarded the distinction of the “Best in Excellence” award at the recent Action On Film International Film Festival in Pasadena, California. Now, filmmaker Noube Rateau and his team, Hakim Hill and William Medero, continue to make in-roads with the discussion of “real fathers, real men” in the very revealing documentary.
Screening at the 2013 Hollywood Black Film Festival from Oct. 2 until the 6th at the Ricardo Montalban Theater, Step Up breaks down the real-world effects of absentee fathers on both the child(ren) and the family as a whole. The docu-drama follows the impact several fathers are having in their life, the struggles they face as fathers, and delve into their own feelings regarding their own absent fathers.
Aiming at correcting the negative impact left on a child’s (and parents) psyche when the father is not a part of his or her life, Step Up: A Documentary On Fatherhood is a film that you should check out if you’re attending the film festival.
Tickets can be purchase in advance by logging onto the festival’s site at: http://www.hbff.org/
