It seems as though congratulations are in order for Tyler, the Creator and Lionel Boyce. The rambunctious rapper and his long-time creative business partner are officially doing business with Sony Pictures TV. According the Deadline, The Jellies! and Loiter Squad co-creators signed a first-look deal with Sony via their Bald Fade Productions, which the two of them founded in 2015. Under this new deal, Tyler and Boyce will be creating original scripted and unscripted projects for both standard television and new media.
Boyce expressed his excitement for the new venture both in a statement and on Twitter and Instagram. “Sony Pictures Television has been a hub for great television for many decades and we’re excited to be a part of a place where we will have the resources to develop new ideas,” he said. Tyler seemed to echo the sentiments with retweets and random tweet about taco condiments. “Tacos are great with bar-b-que sauce, I’m excited,” Tyler said.
