Supposedly, Sony has released the “final trailer” for the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man 2, and it looks like the ones released between early December and mid-March.
With the Andrew Garfield-starring film nearing its opening date of May 1, the new (and final) Amazing Spider-Man 2 trail is the culmination of three domestic trailers, two international trailers, a two-part Super Bowl commercial, and a four-minute “sizzle reel”.
Despite the hefty marketing campaign, the film, which pits Spider-Man against a legion of Oscorp foes, looks pretty interesting. Boasting a plethora of colors and a wittier neighborhood Spider, audiences are treated to the Marvel superhero swinging through the city with the greatest of ease. Garfield has really developed the role around his sense of humor, and according to director Marc Webb, they brought in some legendary comics to pen those humorous quips.
In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Harry and Norman Osborn plan to take out the notorious web-head by using a host of villains such as Jamie Foxx’s Electro, Paul Giamatti’s The Rhino, and Dane DeHaan as the new Green Goblin.
The film looks solid and entertaining, yet the sequel is brimming to the hilt with action, bad guys and humor. While it seems like there have been numerous trailers over the course of a year, you’ll enjoy the exciting, explodey action in the final trailer.
