After letting go both the teaser trailer and the full one, Marvel Studios has just released its first TV spot for the Asgardian sequel, Thor: The Dark World.
The battle for Earth and Asgard continues on the big-screen, as Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth) attempts to save the Nine Realms from a mysterious new threat that predates the universe itself. Taking place in the aftermath of The Avengers, Thor fights within his homeland to restore order and peace across the cosmos.
Unbeknownst to him, an ancient race of Dark Elves, led by the vengeful Malekith, comes back from the shadows to plunge the world back into darkness. Faced against insurmountable odds, Thor embarks on a perilous and personal journey that reunites him with Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and his brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in an adventure that comic book fans surely must see.

Judging by the looks of what is going on in this picture, there will be some serious business going down in the upcoming film. How this will affect the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe remains to be seen, but our bet is that it won’t be pretty and it won’t be without its fair share of surprises.
Thor: The Dark World also stars Idris Elba, Stellan Skarsgard, Christopher Eccleston, Ray Steveson, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins as Odin. Expect the return of the Norse god and his ilk upon the big screens on November 8th, 2013.
