For those not at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, here’s the red band trailer for Vin Diesel’s latest flick, which sees him returning to the big screen as anti-hero Riddick.
Right off the heels of their San Diego Comic-Con panel, Universal Pictures has just let go of their latest clip from David Twohy’s Riddick. Also written by Twohy, Diesel reprises his role as the dangerous convict and survivalist, Richard B. Riddick in this brand new adventure.
The infamous murderer has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for his life against alien predators more lethal than any human’s he’s encountered in his entire life. The only way to escape this barren brutal wasteland is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.
Arriving on the planet are a new breed of merc, more lethal, less moral, and extremely violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could possibly survive, these hunters do not want to leave without Riddick’s head on a pike as their trophy.
