Yahoo! Movies has just let go the first clip from the highly anticipated return of Vin Diesel in the sci-fi action flick, Riddick. In the video, which you can see below, the titular character is ambushed by a pretty gnarly looking creature. The bad ass with the glowing eyes won’t go down without a fight, and even manages to save a young pup from certain doom.
The third installment of the series finds the galaxy’s favorite King of the Necromongers left for dead on a sun-scorched planet. Finding himself up against an alien race of hungry predators, an emergency beacon alerts a new breed of mercenaries, and a man from Riddick’s past, to his presence.

Joining Vin Diesel on this go-around are a returning Karl Urban (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Vaako; Jordi Molla, Matt Nable, Katee Sackhoof, Bokeem Woodbine, Dave Bautista, Conrad Pla, Raoul Trujillo, Nolan Funk, and two-time Grammy Award nominated singer Keri Hilson.
