
As the moment a slew of sports fans have been waiting for, football season, approaches, a film surrounding a deadly pitfall of the NFL has released its official trailer. Will Smith stars in the upcoming movie titled Concussion as Dr. Bennet Omalu, the man who discovered chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a neurological disease caused by multiple head injuries and/or concussions. The film chronicles Omalu’s struggle with the NFL to take precautions against the condition.

In the two-minute Concussion trailer, Smith relays Dr. Omalu’s relentlessness towards NFL officials after he discovers CTE. Faced with the seemingly impossible job of bringing attention to a dangerous component of a multi-million dollar corporation, Omalu is met with resistance as he is asked to “leave it alone.” The dramatic sneak-peek into the film sets the stage for an emotional journey that is sure to get the masses talking about a subject that remains largely taboo.
