Yara Shahidi will have her pick of colleges to attend this fall. The Black-Ish star got into every single college that she applied to, but she’s still deciding which school to attend.
“I did get all of my college acceptances and I’m keeping them close to the belt as of right now, but I got into every college I applied to. So that’s really exciting,” the 17-year-old actress revealed to Seventeen magazine. “I found all of that out last week. My college plans are all up in the air, but I will choose within the next month.”
Shahidi’s college recommendation letter was written by Michelle Obama, but she’s not the only student making headlines for their college acceptance story.
A muslim high school student in New Jersey was recently accepted into Stanford University after writing “Black Lives Matter” 100 times on his college application, a Chicago high schooler was accepted into 23 historically black colleges along with racking up more than a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships, and a group of Ohio quadruplets earned acceptance letters from Yale and Harvard.
