After being thrusted into the national spotlight due to boycotts from students and football players at the University of Missouri demanding the resignation of president Tim Wolfe, some students at Mizzou are now in fear of their life.
Tuesday night (November 10) many students took to Twitter to tweet about the racial threats they’re experiencing at the predominately white institute, while school officials attempted to quell the situation.
There is no immediate threat to campus. Please do not spread rumors and follow @MUAlert at https://t.co/6BXzIBsDxU for updates.

On Monday (November 9) Wolfe stepped down after gradate student Jonathan Butler went on a hunger strike demanding the removal of the president. Butler and many students accused Wolfe and other faculty at Mizzou for their hands off approach when dealing with the campus wide racism many students face, which effect their ability to learn.
Students, organizations and several black football players boycotted practice and threatened not to take the field until Wolfe resigned. Since his resignation, the racial temperature at Mizzou’s campus has risen.
Early Wednesday morning, disturbing video footage of a student at Speaker’s Circle surfaced online.
