When you’ve had your heart set on a particular comfort food, it can be crushing to learn there’s no more of it. However, there’s disappointment and then there’s this woman. Surveillance footage released by authorities Saturday (Feb. 9) shows a woman wielding a Louisville Slugger after learning Back Home #2 was out of beef patties.
The unidentified woman reportedly walked into the eatery near Boston Road at about 4:15 P.M., Jan. 15 and asked for the classic Jamaican pastry, which are filled with an assortment of spices, including beef, chicken, shrimp or vegetables.
When an employee told her they’d run out, she reportedly began arguing and then left only to return a few minutes later with a bat.
The woman bashed in the store’s two large windows before leaving. She’ described as black with a thin build and long braided hair. At the time, she was wearing black-and-white sneakers, black leggings with a black-and-white fur hooded winter jacket.
While police are still searching for the bat-wielding beef patty buster, customers going to extreme circumstances because their favorite item is sold out isn’t unheard of.
In July 2017, CNN reported a woman from Waco, Texas called 911 because her local McDonald’s took too long with her chicken nuggets order, and she demanded they be free. When things didn’t go her way, she phoned authorities.
Seriously, can we get a high five for homegirl with the bat? I mean, if this isn’t conflict resolution at its finest, then what is? (Sarcasm)
