As news of Sam Dubose‘s death began to flood the Internet, many took to Twitter to voice their anger and frustration over the senseless killing of another unarmed black man at the hands of the police, and of those voices was Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams.

Many believed the murder indictment handed down to University of Cincinnati police officer Ray Tensing on Wednesday (July 29) was a step in the right direction towards justice. However, the former public high school teacher—who has a penchant for speaking his mind—quickly reminded folks there’s a difference between justice and progress.

In a series of tweets, the 33-year-old succinctly voiced his opinion on the Sam DuBose tragedy. While officer Tensing is in police custody, Williams made it known the fight for change is still not over.
The tradition of consequence-free warfare on Black people sets the bar so low that we’re inclined to celebrate the slightest of inclusions.
