Academy-Award winner John Legend doesn’t have time for Donald Trump’s racist rhetoric, and the violence that ensues from it. While men and women continue to protest Trump’s rallies, Donald Trump Jr took to Twitter Friday (March 11) to brag about what he perceived was the ignorance of some of the protesters.
Ha 5 students when asked why they were protesting couldn’t even answer. The participation medal/micro aggression generation is pretty sad!

John Legend, unamused by Trump’s comments, hopped on Twitter to issue a very matter-of-fact retort.
.@DonaldJTrumpJr I think they were protesting your racist father. This isn’t complicated.

Jr didn’t take kindly to Legend calling his father a racist, and used the response as his way to prove why the country isn’t unified. Legend on the other hand was still not having it.
@DonaldJTrumpJr no. It’s just the answer when racist racists are saying racist shit and are endorsed by the KKK.

Right wing voters who weren’t fond of Legend’s statements questioned his intellect. The executive producer of WGN’s newest series The Underground continued his statements by showcasing the only similarity between himself and Trump’s son.
.@DanielT03571138 @DonaldJTrumpJr the Donalds and I graduated from the same University, funny enough.

After the war of words between Jr and Legend simmered down and news outlets caught wind and reported on it, the soon-to-be father didn’t think it was newsworthy at all. In fact, he kind of thought it was as obvious as the fact water is wet.
This is not controversial. This is not news. The sky is blue. https://t.co/TZCmZEpyyS
