UPDATE (10/26/18, 2:05 p.m.): ABC’s Chicago affiliate reports that Sayoc was arrested in 2002 for “threatening to throw a bomb in a conversation with a Florida utility representative.” His Twitter page has also been found, which contains several pro-Trump and anti-liberal posts, as well as posts bashing “Hollywood slime” like George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey and Eminem.

Police have arrested a man in South Florida who they believe is tied to a string of suspicious packages sent to Democratic figures and vocal opponents of Donald Trump, per CNN.
Reports say that the man, who is reportedly being identified as Cesar Sayoc, a 56-year-old Trump supporter who has a criminal background and ties to New York. He has been arrested multiple times since 1991 for many crimes such as possession of illegal steroids with intent to distribute, retail theft and making terroristic threats.

In video of the scene, a blue tarp is seen being draped over a large white van believed to belong to Sayoc, who was arrested in an auto parts store. The van in question has several pro-Trump and anti-liberal stickers adorned on the windows.
Twelve suspicious packages containing what is believed to be potentially explosive devices were addressed to Barack and Michelle Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, CNN, Maxine Waters, Eric Holder, Cory Booker, Robert De Niro and more.
While many have spoken out against what is being widely referenced as an act of domestic terrorism, 45 has clapped back at the media as the reason for the nationwide fear and anger.
“A very big part of the Anger we see today in our society is caused by the purposely false and inaccurate reporting of the Mainstream Media that I refer to as Fake News,” he tweeted. “It has gotten so bad and hateful that it is beyond description. Mainstream Media must clean up its act, FAST!”
