The NYPD released surveillance footage of the man they suspect is behind the vicious beating and rape of a 15-year-old Bronx girl.
According to the New York Daily News, the teen met her attacker at the the Gun Hill Road station in Williamsbridge at about 4AM Monday (Oct. 24) on the way home from her friend’s house in Staten Island. As she walked to Bronx Park near the corner of Bronx Bld and E. 213, that’s when the attacker began hitting her in the head and strangling her, which caused her to black out three times.
Police say he then ripped off her pants, sexually assaulted the teen and when she came to forced her into a nearby river in an effort to wash off his DNA. Thankfully someone saw the teen with no pants on, on the side of the Bronx River Parkway near the river and took her Montefiore Medical Center, authorities said.
The suspect is described as a black man, about 5’10 with a medium build. NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said despite the severe bruises the teen has, it was apparent she fought back hard.
Authorities are asking the public if they know anything about the attacker who has scabs and cuts on his lips and was last scene wearing a black Champion hoodie sweatshirt to please call (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
