In today’s episode of For the Love of Clout, we have a young man who learned the likes really aren’t worth jail time.
Missouri native Cody Pfister is behind bars after he was caught licking toiletries in a local Walmart. The video was posted to TikTok on March 11 with many people bringing it to local authorities. It also didn’t help that the 26-year old shouted, “Who’s scared of the coronavirus?”
“We take this incident very seriously, especially with this infectious disease and the state that the country is in,” Lt. Justin Unger told NBC News. “We take these things seriously to protect our community.” Complaints stemmed from local residents as well as people from the Netherlands, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
But Pfister’s lawyer said the video isn’t as disturbing as one thinks. Patrick J. Coyne told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the video was recorded the day before the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic. He also said that the “public conduct that was immature on March 10 looks completely differently through the lens of today.”
Pfister was booked into the Warren County jail without bond. His previous arrests include burglary, theft of a firearm, drug possession and driving while intoxicated. He is due back in court in May.
