As Donald Trump continues to dominate in the polls, former presidential candidates Mitt Romney and John McCain both came forward to lambast the real estate tycoon turned presidential hopeful.
“His is not the temperament of a stable, thoughtful leader,” Romney said Thursday (March 3) and continued to call Trump a “phony” who is “playing the American public for suckers,” and is man whose “imagination must not be married to real power.”
Such harsh criticisms were only compounded when when 2008 GOP nominee Sen. John McCain said he had “many concerns about Mr. Trump’s uninformed and indeed dangerous statements on national security issues.”
When the former reality star learned of the Romney’s criticism, Trump didn’t hesitate to go for the jugular, calling the businessman a “choke artist” who lost to Barack Obama simply because he was a poor candidate.
Yikes.
