Inside a New Rochelle Dunkin’ Donuts, 16-year-old Valeree Megan Schwab was stabbed to death after an argument Wednesday (Jan. 10) afternoon, according to ABC 7
The local news station reports a group of five or six Westchester County school students approached Schwab and her male companion. An argument broke out between Schwab and another girl, resulting in her being stabbed. Students said the teen was being bullied and fought back, spraying her attackers with pepper spray leading up to her being stabbed.
Schwab was stabbed in the left side and rushed to Jacobi Medical Center where she died. The group fled the scene, according to ABC7. A suspect has been identified and the authorities are urging her to surrender.
The City School District of New Rochelle issued a statement amid the tragedy and beefed up security at New Rochelle High School.
