NYPD Deputy Inspector Emmanuel Gonzalez, who was once investigated for ordering other cops to shoot 50 Cent “on sight,” is considering suing him for defamation, after the rapper and TV producer accused him of being a “wife beater,” the New York Post reports.
In a since-deleted post, the Queens native wrote that Gonzalez “caught a domestic violence case” for punching his wife “in the face.” Gonzalez denies domestic violence allegations, a source reportedly told The Post.
Fif responded to the report on Instagram on Tuesday (March 24). “I guess his wife never called 911, I’m sure that deposition would go great on public record. Knock ya self out.”

In 2018, Gonzales allegedly told officers to shoot 50 whenever they seem him, but reportedly attempted to pass his comments off as a joke. Fif said that he took the threat “very seriously” and was consulting with legal council. A month prior to the alleged incident, Gonzales filed a harassment complaint against 50 Cent for allegedly threatening him on Instagram by writing “get the strap,” which he typically adds to his posts.
Gonzales was also accused of targeting a club owner and friend of the 44-year-old New Yorker. His alleged orders to shoot Fif were deemed “unsubstantiated” following an internal investigation.
50 wasn’t surprised by the NYPD closing the investigation and called the police department the “toughest gang in New York.”
