There’s no way Beyonce’s having any world tour and not making a stop in her hometown of Houston. The Formation entertainer brought her fleet of dancers, LED screens, full band and hair fan to the Houston’s NRG Stadium and showed out for her fellow Texans.
Yet while Bey was doing what she does inside, a few frownie face cops were outside protesting the singer for what they believe was anti-police imagery. Members of the Coalition for Police and Sheriffs are still upset over the Lemonade singer’s “Formation” video.
“Some of her performances we believe to be anti-police,” Tony Ragsdale, one of the protesters said.
Ragsdae and others expressed their grievances over Beyonce’s video which depict a sinking New Orleans cop car, the words “stop shooting us” graffitied across a wall and a little boy dressed in all black wearing a hood as he danced in front officers.
Despite their valiant effort, their protests didn’t seem to stop the Beyhive from seeing their queen.
“She can say whatever she wants, she’s Beyoncé,” said Andrea James, who drove from Memphis to attend the concert.
