The YouTube video was viewed more than nine million times, showing Casebolt’s response to a fight at a suburban pool party. In the video (now removed from YouTube), Casebolt curses at several of the black teenagers, throws a young girl to the ground and also takes out his gun.
The disturbing video went viral on Sunday (June 7) causing many to take a stand on social media about the constant police brutality affecting young black men and women at the hands of white law enforcement.
During a press conference Tuesday (June 9), the city’s police chief called Casebolt’s actions “indefensible.”

“Our policies, our training, our practice, do not support his actions,” Police Chief Greg Conley said. “He came into the call out of control, and as the video shows, was out of control during the incident.”
