John McCain and his family celebrate diversity and love as his second son, Jack, married Renée Jessica Swift in a beautiful ceremony in San Francisco.
The Navy Lieutenant, 27, met his Air Force sweetheart in Tamuning, Guam, and break the notion that Republicans are racist bigots. Swift, the 29-year-old bride and a native of Vacavill, California, was embraced by family and political elite alike, as she donned a beautiful white, strapless gown with an organza tiered skirt. The couple exchanged vows and said, “I Do,” at the historic Grace Cathedral on Nob Hill in San Francisco, California. The groom was dressed in his Navy uniform for the ceremony.
During the reception, John McCain partied it up with former Governor Mitt Romney to celebrate his son’s nuptials. While the groom’s older sister, Meghan, chronicled the event on social media, father John took to Twitter to tweet about the event. “Wonderful day at my son Jack’s wedding!” Held at the California Academy of Science, a coterie of the politician’s closest friends were shuttled to the gala and were seen enjoying an elegant meal around a long table. McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign manager Rick Davis and campaign adviser Charlie Black were among the guests at the event.
Jack changed into a white tuxedo for the fête – and then swept his bride, who changed into an equally gorgeous white evening gown, across the dance floor.
The couple are now heading to Africa to experience their honeymoon.
