On Tuesday night (Mar. 1) the polls soared as Super Tuesday—the most important presidential contest to date—was taking place. America’s presidential candidates from the Republican and Democratic parties battle it out over states to see which state will vote for them in their nominating contests. Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, John Kasich and Ben Carson all went head to head. Trump and Clinton both won seven states each, Sanders won four and Cruz finished with three at the end.
In a nutshell, it was a tight race for Clinton and Trump, despite the backlash each has gotten as of yet during their campaigns. (See: here, here and here) Yet they are still in the lead as the two top contenders.
