When will it stop? Just when you thought college students could catch a break and not be in constant fear of their safety, another campus shooting takes place.
Long sighs are in order after Oregon and Arizona colleges experienced fatalities at the merciless actions of others in just the span of a week, and another institution has been added to the unfortunate list. Texas Southern University have two people arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that took place outside one of the school’s dormitories. One more suspect is still being searched for according to police officers, CNN reports.
After the shooting took place at around 11:30 a.m. Friday morning (Oct. 9), the university went into full lockdown mode as classes were officially closed off for the remainder of the day. The identities of all of the victims and suspects have yet to be released. It was reported that a shooting transpired at the same exact campus housing the night before, but police are not on the record to confirm whether or not the back-to-back incidents are related. The downtown Houston located college also experienced a third shooting near the campus, but details weren’t given on the matter as of yet.
