
Three Brooklyn residents were apprehended by the FBI late Tuesday night (Feb. 24), with intent on aiding ISIS, ABC News reports.
The suspects identified as Akhror Saidakhmetov, 19, Abdurasul Hasanovich Juraboev, 24, and Abror Habibov, 30, sought to provide materials to the terrorist group, and carry out a domestic attack, including planting a bomb in Coney Island, Brooklyn or assassinating President Barack Obama.
The FBI revealed a statement that was said by Juraboev which detailed his plot on Obama: “I am in USA now … But is it possible to commit ourselves as dedicated martyrs anyway while here? What I’m saying is, to shoot Obama and then get shot ourselves, will it do? That will strike fear in the hearts of infidels.”
All three defendants were arrested overnight. One at John F. Kennedy airport while attempting to board a flight to Turkey.

The suspects will appear in federal court Wednesday (Feb. 25).
