It’s safe to say that the Toronto Raptors don’t mind hitting the skip button on a Meek Mill song. In an interview with Complex, Raptors forward Patrick Patterson stated that the team prohibits any tunes from the Philly lyricist to be played in the locker room.
“Oh yeah, Meek Mill has been banned for a long time,” he simply revealed. “No one plays Meek Mill.” Drizzy and the MMG member have remained at odds after Meek alleged that the “Know Yourself” rapper enlists a ghostwriter for his songs. Although Drake slightly addressed that claim head-on, he did debut two diss tracks “Charged Up” and the Grammy-nominated “Back to Back.”
Meek lyrically responded with “Wanna Know,” and is reportedly planning to address Drake once again on his Dreamchasers 4 project. But in September, Drake briefly touched on his rift with the “R.I.C.O.” collaborator one more time during a performance, stating “Don’t worry, he’s already dead.”
Drake will head back to his hometown for the NBA All-Star weekend festivities, and will coach Team Toronto in the celebrity basketball game against Kevin Hart’s Team USA next month.
