
A Washington, D.C. officer was arrested in nearby Maryland over the weekend when law enforcement revealed he paid a teenage girl for sex, and then demanded the money back while pointing a gun at her.
According to NBC 4 Washington, 27-year-old Chukwuemeka Ekwonna was booked on several charges including armed robbery, firearm use, first, second and third-degree assault, third-degree sex offense, reckless endangerment and prostitution offenses, all of which stem from the alleged January 9th incident.
Court documents show the unidentified teen told authorities she met a man online and he offered her $80 to have sex. They later met, had sex, but afterwards the man pointed a gun at her wanting his money back. The man was later identified as Ekwonna.
Ekwonna has been with the police department for a little less than 18 months and was assigned to the second district. He has since been fired.
