The White House has recently returned to normal after being held in a lockdown early Monday (May 30) afternoon, according to U.S. News.
Robert Hoback, a Secret Service spokesman, says someone at around 12:15 p.m. threw a metal object over the north fence on Pennsylvania Avenue. Afterwards, the individual was reportedly arrested without resistance. Hoback did not identify the culprit, but a witness said they saw a woman being placed in handcuffs.
The lockdown took place shortly after President Barack Obama came back from a Memorial Day ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. A hazardous materials response unit and fire trucks were present at the scene to ensure nothing dangerous made it over the fence. Hoback says the danger results came back negative.
