Pizza Hut made a bold move with this one! The company stepped out of the pizza box and ventured to the business of fragrance after what started as a Facebook joke between managers. The outcome is a scent that captures “top notes of freshly baked, hand-tossed dough”.
Director of Pizza Hut Canada’s marketing and product development, Beverley D’Cruz, said, “When our ad team at GRIP brought the idea to us, we absolutely loved it. What better way to celebrate our Facebook fans than by providing them with a way to enjoy the fresh smell of Pizza Hut pizza whenever they want!”
If you’re thinking this idea is just a little over the top, you’re right. The company only produced 110 bottles for Facebook fans who asked for the limited edition product. The rest of us will just have to order pizza when we’re in the mood to smell doughy goodness.
