Not only does America get celebrated on the 4th of July, but so does future- Harvard attendee/U.S. Embassy intern Malia Obama, who turned 18 years old yesterday.
At the White House’s Independence Day celebration, President Barack Obama closed out the event- which saw performances by Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monae- with a performance of his own for the birthday girl.
“And just because it’s a job of a father to embarrass his daughters, I’ve got one last job,” said the POTUS before singing “Happy Birthday” to his daughter. Janelle Monae, K. Dot and the audience joined in as Malia walked on stage to thank her father with a hug.
