It’s Election Day (Nov. 6), and everyone is stepping out to cast their vote. That includes Beyonce, who took to social media after hitting the polls to announce her endorsement for Democratic Texas Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke.
Beyonce shared a video collage of herself on Instagram rocking a cap with “BETO” in bold letters. She also wrote a statement in the caption, encouraging others to get to the polls.
“I’m feeling grateful for everyone before me who fought so hard to give us all the right to have a voice. We can’t voice our frustrations and complain about what’s wrong without voting and exercising our power to make it right,” she wrote. “We need you. We all need each other, because when we are truly united we are unstoppable. Sending you all love and positivity on this happy voting day!”
Bey’s announcement comes just hours before the polls are set to close in Texas. Nevertheless, hopefully she influenced a few more people to make their way to their local polling stations and cast their vote.
