Rapper Cardi B has recently been using her platform to speak out on the political issues affecting this country and has caught the attention of Democrats in Iowa, so much so that they have invited her to speak at their reception.
The invitation was extended to the Money rapper via the Polk County Democrats Twitter, where other prominent figures of the Democratic party were mentioned as well.
As the center of the IA Caucuses, we have been honored to host @TeamPelosi, @CecileRichards, @KamalaHarris, @SenGillibrand, @PramilaJayapal, @Grace4NY, and many powerful women leaders.
It only makes sense to invite @iamcardib to a reception of her choice while she’s here in May.

Cardi B has since responded to the invitation through her Twitter account.

The invitation was extended to Cardi for any date in May when her Invasion of Privacy tour reaches Des Moines. Chair of the Polk County Democrats Sean Bagniewski expressed why they have an interest in Bronx native. “She speaks to the new activism in the Democratic Party,” he said. “It’s a long shot, but a little bit of her presence would go a long way.”
If Cardi decides to accept the invitation, it would be a political stance following many others she has made in the past couple of weeks on social media. One of the most standout moments included clapping back at conservative, ex-host of The Blaze Tomi Lahren as well as responding to critics of her “Twerk” music video, who questioned how the video empowered women.
“It says to women that I can wear not wear what ever I want,” the rapper said in the tweet. “Do w.e I want and that NO still means NO.”
It says to women that I can wear and not wear what ever I want. do w.e I want and that NO still means NO. So Stephanie chime in..If I twerk and be half naked does that mean I deserve to get raped and molested ? I want to know what a conservative woman like you thinks 🤔 https://t.co/8UBQQzO6jK
