Dave Chappelle is no fan of Hillary Clinton, even though he’s likely to vote for her. Like many voters stuck between a rock and hard place, Chappelle has his issues with this year’s election.
The 43-year-old comedian aired out some of his frustrations during a stand-up show at The Cutting Room in New York Friday (Nov. 4) where he verbally dragged Clinton and accused her of leaking Trump’s 11-year-old explicit conversation with Access Hollywood reporter Billy Bush.
“What I heard on that tape was gross, but the way I got to hear it is even more gross,” Chappelle said according to the New York Observer, which is owned by Trump’s son-in-law. “You know that came directly from Hillary.”
Chappelle went on to defend Trumps comments about grabbing women by the “p*ssy,” and explained that the Republican presidential nominee wasn’t bragging about sexual assault.
“Sexual assault? It wasn’t. He said, ‘And when you’re a star, they let you do it,’” Chappelle noted. “That phrase implies consent.”
He added that he doesn’t like the way the media “twisted” the narrative. “Nobody questioned it,” he said.
Chapelle also called Trump the most “gangsta candidate ever,” and compared voting for Clinton to Halle Berry passing gas in his face before sex (random analogy).
“I’m still going to go for it,” he said. “But I wish she hadn’t done that thing.”
He went on to throw more support at Trump for his handling of the leaked recording at the last two presidential debates, and said that racism should be at the forefront of the candidates’ social discussion, vs. women’s rights and the LGBTQ rights.
“They should not be having that conversation in front of black people,” Chappelle continued . “You go ahead and feel something about your rights. But if you’re putting sexism and homophobia and transphobia in front of racism, you should be ashamed of yourself.”
Chappelle also said that Clinton will be on a “coin one day,” yet her behavior isn’t “coin-worthy.”
“She’s not right and we all know she’s not right.”
**Update: According to TMZ, Chappelle doesn’t like the way The Obeserver spun the Trump story.
