Donald Trump made a huge mistake.
In “You’re Really Letting This Happen” news, the Republican candidate for the presidency made a stop on the campaign trail in Buffalo, NY on Monday evening (Apr. 18), where he decided to bring up the 2001 NYC terrorist attacks during his rally.
“I wrote this out, and it’s very close to my heart,” the Queens native said while discussing New York’s bravery and value, before making one large, uncorrected mistake.
“Because I was down there and I watched our police and our firemen down at 7/11, down at the World Trade Center right after it came down. And I saw the greatest people I’ve ever seen in action.”
Granted, it was a slip of the tongue, but…
Naturally, Twitter had a field day, and 7-Eleven became a national trending topic. Trump has not apologized for the mistake.
Once again…some people are really letting this happen…
