Wednesday morning, (Nov. 29) it was announced veteran Today show anchor Matt Lauer was fired from NBC due complaints of inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.
Savannah Guthrie revealed the news at the beginning of the show. NBC News Chairman Andrew Lack wrote a staff memo stating it was the first time a complaint had been filed against Lauer, but “we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.”
Upon learning of Lauer’s removal, Donald Trump took to Twitter to allege Lauer’s dissmisal was small potatoes compared to the over abundance of fake news populating the media.
Wow, Matt Lauer was just fired from NBC for “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.” But when will the top executives at NBC & Comcast be fired for putting out so much Fake News. Check out Andy Lack’s past!

So now that Matt Lauer is gone when will the Fake News practitioners at NBC be terminating the contract of Phil Griffin? And will they terminate low ratings Joe Scarborough based on the “unsolved mystery” that took place in Florida years ago? Investigate!

According to CNN, the 59-year-old was informed of his termination late Tuesday night. Allegedly, reporters from the New York Times and Variety have been investing sexual misconduct allegations against Lauer for weeks.
Lauer’s removal is just the latest in a whirlwind of high profile men terminated from their posts after being accused of sexual misconduct. Last week, CBS cut ties with Charlie Rose. Along with Rose, Kevin Spacey and Louis CK were also removed from projects after being accused of sexual harassment.
The takedowns of some of Hollywood and media’s most powerful men began after The New York Times and The New Yorker wrote about several women who accused Harvey Weinsten of sexual assault.
