During her first television appearance with CNN’s Anderson Cooper Monday (Oct.17) Melania Trump said her husband Donald Trump respects women, and was “egged on” into “boy talk” during a lewd conversation in 2005 with then Access Hollywood host Billy Bush.
“I believed my husband. I believe my husband. This was all organized from the opposition. And with the details, did they ever check the background of these women? They don’t have any facts,” Mrs. Trump said.
A little less than two weeks ago, The Washington Post leaked audio footage of then 59-year-old Trump and Bush speaking about kissing, groping and making advances on women without their permission. In the wake of the audio, several women have come forward accusing Trump of sexual misconduct.
Despite Melania Trump claiming she had a conversation with the G.O.P candidate about the language he used, the 46-year-old said she was taken back by it all
“I said to my husband that, you know, the language was inappropriate. It’s not acceptable. And I was surprised, because that is not the man that I know,” she said.
