Michelle Obama will embark on a 10-city fall book tour this November, beginning in her hometown of Chicago.
The tour will be in support of her memoir Becoming, which chronicles everything from her roots, time in the White House, role as a mother and her public health campaign.
After taking the last year and a half to develop and write her story, the former first lady is now striving to inspire attendees “to feel the power in their own voice and their own story –– not in the big moment, but in the little things, the small moments, the bumps, the bruises, the highs and the lows, because those are the things that make us uniquely who we are.”
The tour, which is a partnership between Live Nation and the Crown Publishing Group, a division of Penguin Random House, will feature Mrs. Obama speaking candidly about many of topics she addresses in her book as she invites the audience to participate in the open conversation. Inviting numerous friends and family members to join her on her tour, Michelle Obama expects the tour to be funny, insightful and inspiring.
Book tour tickets will be available for purchase here on September 21. Becoming will hit shelves everywhere on November 13.
